Join our panel as they discuss how Asian-American designers grapple with issues around their background, community, and heritage in their work. How do Asian-American designers deal with, break, and appropriate Asian stereotypes in their roles as designers? How are their career choices seen by their communities versus the rest of the world?

The panel will also discuss the historical significance of Chinatown, its struggle with gentrification, and the rise of xenophobia in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
