Sexmob Goes To the Movies

Thursday, Feb 6, 2020
7:30–10pm

Join us as legendary NYC band Sexmob performs music from their albums devoted to classic soundtracks. Gear up for tunes from Cinema, Circus & Spaghetti: Sexmob Plays Fellini, the band’s revered record focusing on the work of Federico Fellini collaborator Nino Rota, and Sexmob Does Bond, consisting of John Barry’s immortal music for the 007 franchise. Many of these delicious pieces have had the pleasure of marinating in the band’s repertoire for almost two decades.

Tonight offers a unique opportunity to view Poster House’s current exhibit, Baptized By Beefcake: The Golden Age of Hand-Painted Movie Posters from Ghana while enjoying the live show. Come early and explore the museum during happy hour!

Over their long tenure playing venues around the globe, Sexmob’s posters have been designed by luminary artists such as Mike Roman and “The Pizz,” and have been plastered onto buildings the world over.

The Grammy-nominated band is led by Steven Bernstein (slide trumpet) with Briggan Krauss (saxophones), Tony Scherr (bass), and Kenny Wollesen (drums).
