Posters & Cocktails: Up In Smoke
7–9pm
Our Posters & Cocktails events continue to delight guests around the world! Tonight, smoke ‘em if you got ‘em because we’re lighting one up with tobacco posters.
Poster House’s Chief Curator will once again be hosting Nicholas Lowry of Swann Auction Galleries and Don Spiro of The Green Fairy Society over Zoom as they blaze their way through the history of posters related to smoking! No, we do not condone or promote the use of tobacco, but we do love its rich visual history in advertising.
After Don opens the show with our first smokey cocktail, Nicholas will light a match in our hearts with the early history of tobacco advertising. Don will continue to provide hits of alcohol throughout the night until Nicho leaves us stoned with wonder at these incredible, enduring graphics.
