Collaborative Paper Marbling

Led by cultural worker and teaching artist Fan Kong, this workshop will introduce beginners to suminagashi, the oldest paper marbling technique. This meditative practice involves floating colors on the surface of water and delicately transferring them to paper. Each participant will learn to create and experiment with suminagashi in small groups. Along the way, we will reflect on and challenge traditional thinking processes through creative problem solving and mindfulness.
