Fight the Man: Posters & Politics of the 1960s & ’70s
1–2pm
The political posters of the 1960s and ‘70s defined a generation, helping shape contemporary politics.
Join Poster House Collections Manager Melissa Walker as she examines mid-century presidential election posters, including the Nixon, JFK, and Reagan campaigns. Explore how both mainstream and counterculture political posters spurred civic engagement, with special attention to posters currently featured in the Freak Power exhibition. Questions about political posters are strongly encouraged!
